This spring, the EarthFresh Atlanta team laced up their running shoes for the annual in-person Hunger Walk/Run, an integral fundraising, community building and awareness initiative of the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
The race was hosted at the Home Depot Backyard of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta. Thousands of walkers and runners come together for this 5K event to raise awareness and funds for hunger relief. We enjoyed live music, Atlanta’s best food trucks, the kids’ play zone and visits from Freddie the Falcon and Blooper!
POTATOES FOR PERFORMANCE!
Potatoes are full of essential vitamins and minerals. This means potatoes aren’t just good; they’re good for you – especially after a 5K race! Many participants stopped by the EarthFresh booth to pick up their post-race refuel to enjoy at home.
The humble potato provides the carbohydrates, potassium and energy necessary for optimal athletic performance. Carbohydrates are the primary fuel source for your brain as well as a key source of energy for your muscles. Whether you have just started your fitness journey or you’re an experienced athlete, potatoes will keep you fueled.
